Course Information:Moral Dilemmas Facing the Funeral Profe The Funeral Industry is often the target of individuals and action groups claiming to have been victimized by a funeral director. Why is there a lack of confidence surrounding the funeral profession? What does the funeral profession have to do to correct this? We need to understand the ethical values of those we serve. We need to communicate our principles in an unwavering adhesion to specific and defined values. While this might sound relative easy, it is far more complicated than merely, “abiding by and adhering to the law”. It involves practicing the precepts and values used in determining our future laws. This course will take you through the basics needed to understand and communicate with a client family on a professional level that demonstrates you are deserving of their trust and that you have a wealth of knowledge an professional services to offer them. The Author Jerry Keller graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1964 and has been involved both directly and indirectly with the Funeral Profession since that time and has been a Certified Bereavement Facilitator since 1997. |
