Employee Recruitment and Retention in Funeral Service
Most likely the greatest and most challenging problem any small business owner faces is being able to recruit and retain employees that are both qualified and skilled to meet your business' needs. It's hardly a secret capable skilled employees are in high demand.
In the small funeral home environment an employee is expected to have both the people skills necessary to handle the front end, where they will be expected to meet with families and show the same compassion and understanding you do, and also have all of the technical skills required in the preparation room.
While finding an employee with all of the qualifications for either of these positions can be a challenge unto it's self; finding that employee that has both of these skills is another matter.
The back-bone of you funeral home is your support team. And, how you build it will measure your success.
This course will review the aspects of the hiring process and what it will take to keep the support team you need positive and strong.

Richard his served as a Curriculum Design and Implement Consultant within the Johnson City, Tennessee School System and a Guest Faculty Member at Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Virginia.
